I have always been interested in understanding psychology and human behaviors. When I entered my Master’s program at Stony Brook University, I had an internship at a Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Agency. While I was there I had so many eye opening experiences that ultimately led me down the path of working with survivors of trauma. It is truly astounding how even in the face of horrific, ongoing abuse, people can be inspiringly resilient. My passion since, my experience at my internship is to help individuals who desire it, provide them with a safe outlet and nurture their growth. Fortunately, Casa de los Niños has provided the space for me and many others to do so.
