Nurse-Family Partnership

Program Goals

Improve pregnancy outcomes

Improve child health and development

Improve economic self-sufficiency of the family

Being a first time mom is hard – you’ve got this!

Casa de los Niños will support you by providing a free personal registered nurse who will visit you in your home during your entire pregnancy, and continue until your baby turns two. Our nurses will provide support and assistance from prenatal care to education and development and everything else in between.

Fathers, family members and even friends are encouraged to attend visits and learn how they can best support the new mom.

How Does It Work?

We all know being a parent is hard – but being a first time mom is even harder. There’s a lot to learn and you will have a lot of questions like ‘Can I eat sushi while I’m pregnant?’ and ‘What is my crying baby trying to tell me?’ and that is where Nurse-Family Partnership comes in!

We will connect you with your own free personal nurse who will visit you one to two times a week and will be there for you as your baby grows to answer all those questions and offer a good laugh when you need it most! After your baby is born, your nurse will still be there for you to answer any questions you may have from bathing to diaper changes to everything in between until your baby turns 2!
