Foundations of Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health

Do you have some experience with Infant/Early Childhood Mental Health and an interest to learn more? This session will be an expansion of the Birth to Five Workgroup’s Introduction to IECMH, with more in-depth exploration of these Infant Mental Health Endorsement Competencies:

  • Pregnancy/early parenthood
    • Impact of varied relationship patterns, perinatal mood disorders
  • Attachment, separation, grief & loss, trauma
    • Impact on parent, child, and the parent-child relationship
  • Family relationships/family dynamics
    • Exploration of how family relationships and dynamics can be passed on from generation to generation

About the Facilitator

Leona Pannabecker is a Mental Health Coordinator at Child-Parent Centers Head Start, and is IMH-Endorsed at Level III. She is fascinated by and passionate about Infant Mental Health and expanding awareness within the Early Childhood and Mental Health communities.
