Frequently Asked Questions
Can teens and children volunteer at Casa de los Niños?
Volunteers who work with children must be at least 16 years old. However, many wonderful donation drives and care packages are put together by children and teens who want to help other kids!
Do I need special certification to volunteer?
If you will be working with children, you will need a fingerprint clearance card.
Does volunteering require a consistent commitment?
That depends on how you want to volunteer. Volunteers in the Early Education Center do keep a consistent commitment that fits with their schedule. Some groups and classes may also require a commitment for the duration of the sessions.
How can I sign-up to volunteer or get more information?
Please complete the form on our Contact Us page (select “volunteer opportunities” from the drop-down box), and let us know how you’d like to get involved. (If you completed a form at the volunteer luncheon, you do not have to complete the on-line form.) We look forward to working with you!
