Carol Bolger

On the most individual and personal level, all parents struggle with discipline, or how to promote appropriate behavior in children.  Parents routinely talk to friends, extended family members and other people in their lives, asking question’s about discipline, looking for ideas and methods that they can use.  It is a universal parental concern.  Consequently, without support and practical knowledge, parents often revert to their own experiences from childhood, using harmful disciplinary methods, setting unrealistic expectations, jeopardizing the child’s health or self-esteem, and failing to help the child develop along with the 1-2-3 approach to setting boundaries for themselves and their children.  It is positive, practical, and based on sound practice.
