Nurse-Family Partnership Serves Additional 100 Families Throughout Pima County

With thanks to a grant from the National Service Office of Nurse-Family Partnership, Casa de los Niños is now providing regular nurse visits to the homes of even more first-time mothers—an additional 100 throughout Pima County. Our Nurse-Family Partnership Program provides first-time mothers with regularly scheduled nurse home visits from pregnancy through the child’s second birthday. The program strives to improve:

  • pregnancy outcomes for mother and child
  • child health and development
  • economic self-sufficiency for low-income first time parents and their children.

While nurses focus on new mothers, they encourage participation from fathers and other family members to promote well-being for the whole family.
