Foster Care

One of the agency’s largest programs is a foster care network with more than 100 foster homes in Pima and Pinal counties. Casa de los Niños recruits and trains individuals and families who wish to provide temporary care for abused and/or neglected children. We then help them through the licensing process. Once these people are licensed and have children placed in their homes, the Casa de los Niños Foster Care Program provides them with the ongoing education and support they need to be successful with their fostering experience. 

Our Foster Care Program is particularly interested in working with foster parents who have the desire and ability to care for medically fragile children, sibling groups of three and more, and teenagers. 

Over the course of the 2008-2009 fiscal year, Casa de los Niños foster homes  served more than 400 children.
