Party Tips and Resources
Select a Theme: Once you’ve chosen a theme for your party, it will be easier to choose the decorations, food, beverages and dress code. Themes can be tied to almost anything: historical events, popular movies, or even music genres. You also might consider celebrating someone’s personal or professional achievement, a birthday or anniversary celebration in which donations benefit the mission of Casa de los Niños, or a costume party for children.
Examples of different party ideas include a cocktail party, backyard BBQ, neighborhood block party, wine tasting, formal dinner party, faith-based community event, college campus event or a restaurant-based event.

Name Tags
If your guests won’t know each other, encourage them to wear nametags. Make them beforehand if you know who will attend, or put out blank name badges or stickers along with a few markers and ask guests to create their own. Nametags will make it easier for guest’s to learn each other’s names and facilitate discussion.
Introductions
As your guests arrive, take the opportunity to welcome them. Introduce yourself-who you are and why you’ve chosen to host a Night for Children event. If the group is small enough, you might go around the room and invite each person to say their name and what brings them to the event.
