Group Volunteer Activities

Groups of volunteers can plan an activity for groups of children served by Casa de los Niños, that meet at various times during the week. Scheduling for activities is ideally done at least a month in advance.

Group activities can include:

  • Teambuilding – has your group done a cool teambuilding exercise that kids would enjoy?
  • Fitness for Kids – relay racing, jumping jacks, stretching, catch
  • Game Night for families – do a drive to collect new board games for families
  • Career Exploration – share what you do at work, bring examples or tools (ie, a Nurse can talk about basic hygiene, bring band-aids and let children listen to their own hearts with a stethoscope)
  • Simple Science Experiments
  • Arts & Craft Projects – donate items for kids and families to do crafts together, no sew pillow kits, journal materials, things for scrap-booking, beading or other creative ideas
  • Plan a graduation party for a Casa de los Niños program
  • Organize an event for a group of foster familes

FUNd a fieldtrip! Our clients love to experience places like Pump It Up, the zoo, Desert Museum, water parks and more. Your group can fund a fieldtrip and tag along for fun!

Host a pizza party or ice cream social. You bring the food, we’ll provide the fun! All items must be store bought and it their unopened, original container.

Have a Wish List “drive.”

Groups do not need to complete an application or screening process.
