Cool & Casual for Casa de los Niños

Go Cool & Casual for Casa de los Niños in the workplace to raise funds, and awareness about the importance of child abuse prevention.  Employees are encouraged to dress down in exchange for a donation to Casa de los Niños, showing their support and commitment to the cause by wearing a “Cool & Casual for Casa de los Niños” button.

How it works:

Participants are asked to donate a nominal fee (example, $10, $5, etc.) to dress in casual attire for the day instead of traditional business wear.  If your business already dresses casual, you can be creative and come up with some other fun option, such as Hawaiian shirts, etc. 100% of all the donations will support the critical programs at Casa de los Niños.

Planning is simple:

  1. Designate a lead company employee to organize the “Cool & Casual for Casa de los Niños” day.
  2. Designate a date that works for your office.  Or even better, consider hosting the event for one day a week for a whole month, or once every other month.
  3. Set a fundraising goal.  More people will participate if their personal contribution is adding to the collective goal.  Employer matching may be available as an option to make an even more impactful gift.
  4. Contact Casa de los Niños.  Complete the “Cool & Casual for Casa de los Niños” form.  Our staff can provide flyers for you to print and distribute, free buttons to give out to staff to show participation, and provide educational information about Casa de los Niños to help make the day a success.
  5. Announce it.  Distribute flyers and email notifications to your staff to promote the event.
  6. Collect donations, and hand out the free “Cool & Casual for Casa de los Niños” buttons to participating employees to wear on the designated day.

Thank everyone!

Last but not least, let everyone know how grateful Casa de los Niños is for their support, and remind them how their donation will help.
