Events

Special Events hold a special place in the history of Casa de los Ninos. In the early days of the agency, most of our fund-raising was done with Special Events … most notably the Casa Car Show, which was launched in 1980. Held for years in Reid Park, the Casa Car Show became the largest in Southern Arizona. It attracted thousands of car enthusiasts and raised thousands of dollars for the kids in the shelter.

Today, we sponsor three major events. The 2010 TMC for Children Casa Car Raffle will feature a racy, candy-apple-red, 2004 Corvette. Tickets will be available in April. The drawing itself will be held in October.

The 2010 Night for Children, Presented by Diamond Children’s Medical Center at UMC  is actually lots of nights for children throughout the month of April — Child Abuse Prevention Month.  Friends from throughout Pima County host their own private gatherings to encourage the support of Casa de los Ninos.

Our other agency event is the Mike and Nicole Stoops Casa Golf Classic. It will be held Friday, April 30, at Arizona National Golf Club. It will be the 21st annual Casa golf tournament.

Another way to help the agency is to do your own fundraiser with your own friends and associates, and dedicate the proceeds to the children at Casa de los Ninos. Outside Special Events are critical to our ongoing success. If you need assistance from us, give us a call! Net proceeds from all Casa events are used to care for the kids in our shelter.
